Arriving in the United States in search of a better life, Hagop found himself drawn to the vibrant Armenian community thriving in the Boston area. There, he discovered a passion for the art of rug cleaning and repair, a skill deeply rooted in his cultural heritage. After honing his craft alongside seasoned artisans, Hagop embarked on his entrepreneurial journey in 1901, founding Bon Ton Rug Cleaners. From humble beginnings, operating out of his garage, Bon Ton Rug Cleaners quickly gained recognition for its meticulous attention to detail and dedication to exceptional quality. As the business flourished, Hagop made a bold move, establishing a brick-and-mortar store in Watertown, Massachusetts - the very location that serves as our home to this day.
