Customer Service Issues
Both reviewers experienced poor customer service from Adelman. Joanna Morris was met with a rude and condescending attitude when she tried to report an issue with her carpet cleaning, and Adrienne B. was blown off despite multiple phone calls and emails about her damaged couch cushions.
Quality of Service
The quality of Adelman's service was also called into question. Joanna Morris' carpet developed a mildewy smell after cleaning, which she believes was caused by the water not being fully removed. Adrienne B.'s couch cushions were damaged due to the use of hot water extraction on a cotton chintz fabric that specifically required dry cleaning.
Lack of Accountability
Both reviewers felt that Adelman was unwilling to take responsibility for their mistakes. Joanna Morris was told she would have to pay again to have her carpet re-cleaned, and Adrienne B. was denied compensation for the damage to her couch cushions.
Unreliable Follow-Through
The reviewers also experienced a lack of follow-through from Adelman. Joanna Morris was promised a call back from the office manager, but never received one. Adrienne B. had to wait weeks for updates on her claim, only to be told that the company had done all they could to remedy the situation.
