They did a great job cleaning a difficult shaggy handmade rug!

I can't recommend Renaissance highly enough. I had a large cream rug with a small stain. Naturally, I made the stain much, much worse trying to clean it myself. A combination of vinegar and baking soda left a huge yellow patch, that looked to me like a chemical burn. I was so upset thinking I permanently damaged my beautiful new rug. I took it to Renaissance and they worked on it for two weeks and removed the stain completely. I am blown away by their work! Their prices are reasonable, they are super kind and responsive, and the quality of their work is unmatched. They also gave me detailed instructions on how to treat a stain at home next time (i.e. NOT baking soda and vinegar).

My rugs look beautiful. When delivered back to me the men were very polite and as particular as I am about placement!

I had an alarming mishap with a rug--a cut on the edge of a fine Tibetan rug. I was referred to Renaissance by a trusted rug expert in Eugene, and called, frantic for help. They asked for photos of the damage, affirmed what the damage was, and how they could help. The long and short of it--I showed up in Portland with the rug, and Renaissance actually repaired it while I waited. Amazing service, and a flawless, invisible repair. I was floored by the price--less than I could have imagined. Wonderful people. They showed me around their facility, where they clean fine rugs, and I'm so impressed. I won't use anyone else for my rugs, and I recommend Renaissance to clients. Highest recommendation.

Renaissance Rug Cleaning is wonderful. For over 20 years I have collected Oriental rugs, primarily antique tribal rugs. This year Renaissance Rug Cleaning has provided me with over 15 rug pads and cleaned and repaired a fragile antique tribal rug. The repair and cleaning was top rate. The rug pads are also top rate but the cleaning and repair of my favorite antique tribal rug is why I am writing this recommendation.

We just had 2 Gabbeh rugs cleaned and repaired by Reanissance Rug Cleaning . One of the rugs was over 15 years old and had never been cleaned before. Both rugs came back looking like new. I have been using Renaissance Rug Cleaning since moving to Portland ten years ago. They are great. I just 8 rugs (up to 10 X 12) cleaned with no problems or complaints. They picked up the rugs for cleaning and laid them back down within two weeks.

Dye leaked from a pet mishap. Did not think it was cleanable because of the maroon bleed into beige. Got the rug back yesterday, I am amazed at the fantastic job. Looks brand new with no evidence of stain. Absolutely beautiful. Would highly recommend.

We had an emergency with a massive stain on our rug. We called another rug cleaning company that we had used for over 20 years and they were less than helpful. First, they really could not give us any suggestions of what to do at home and second, they were totally unavailable to pick up the rug for a week.

We found about Renaissance and called them. They were wonderful. We received instructions on what to do on an urgent basis (it worked) and then they picked up the rug that day.

Renaissance is the best! Knowledgeable, helpful and considerate analysis, and their process takes me back to southern Iran in the sixties! I honestly can't imagine a better place to have Persian rugs and gelims properly washed. They also did lovely repair work on an old Bakhtiari for us.

Our labrador decided that our area rug would make a tasty meal and chewed at least nine areas of our decorative 8 X 11 rug. When Renaissance returned the rug to us, it was impossible to find the ares that had been repaired. They did an excellent job. Sadly, they declined an offer to take our dog. I highly recommend Renaissance Rug for damaged rugs. They made our rug like new.

Recommended by our vet due to furry companion little accident on our Karastan wool rug. Called Jennifer to inquire about it. She was super helpful and I ended up bringing our rug in to be cleaned. They completed it in a week, it looks great and at pick up the other lady (name slips my mind) was super helpful about providing us with a pamphlet about how to treat different kind of stains with which kind of process/cleaners in case something like this happened again. Delightful person and quality customer service.

Mouse chewed a piece out of my rug and Renaissance repaired to the point of invisibility.
And since rug served as a rug in a wet bar for some 25 years it also needed a thorough cleaning. The colors are now vibrant and I assume as close to original as it will get.

Randy & his assistant showed up right on time. Their artful, very efficient technique for taking rugs out from under heavy furniture was fascinating to watch. For years I have been taking my collectible rugs to he best known cleaner in the city. But not any more. After a first experience at Renaissance, I am fully committed to their careful technique, respect for the integrity of the weaver's art and the use of authentic material used in carpet repair. I was embarrassed to learn that the machine selvedge done on my 100 year old Ersari could have been properly done with correct techniques, was an instant lesson. I received a complete tour of the facility and an introduction to professional rug care. For both cleaning and repair we plan to entrust our rugs to the skillful staff at the Renaissance Rug firm.

Our Persian rug had not been cleaned in quite a few years. Renaissance picked it up, combed it, combed it and combed it, washed it and let it dry and washed it AGAIN. When it was returned to us it was bright, soft and beautiful--and they charged less than the original estimate because it was a little smaller than I had told them! Fabulous job!

Had our rug recently cleaned and could not be happier. Renaissance picked the rug up and delivered it back looking brand new. They were also able to remove a couple of stains and some damage from cat claws. Highly recommended!

These guys are really terrific. They're actually a find. Been using them for years on our nice hand knotted and machine knotted rugs. Renaissance is knowledgeable, conscientious, and best of all provide a great service of professional hand cleaned rugs. Their goal is an actual cleaned rug! They'll run it again if it's not completely clean. They deep clean. Really old school stuff. Trust me, I've had other top pro rug cleaning services in Portland and in Seattlek in past years. Their cleaning just don't last very long- They're not cleaning the rugs as deeply or as thoroughly. Renaissance would be a 5 out of 5. The other services are about a 3 out of 5.
