Our History

The idea of starting Day Star Window Cleaning Service LLC began when our founder, Mr. McKernan, was a young man looking for a personal adventure in Northern California in 1998. During his stay, he noticed the beautiful countryside and the endless possibilities, which led him to begin his own business and learn a new trade. The beginnings of our company started when he cleaned the windows of a house in the mountains to do a good deed, which turned out to be the start of a professional window cleaning company.

Over the years, our founder worked with different professionals, attending industry conferences, and gaining training to build his skills and knowledge. He pursued his passion for window cleaning with dedication and perseverance. In 2018, he relocated to Iowa, where he decided to focus on expanding his business in the Central Iowa area, specifically in Ames and Des Moines.
