What is Dry Cleaning?
Dry cleaning is a method of cleaning garments without the use of water. Instead, a specific solvent is used to clean and remove stains from fabrics. Our dry cleaning machines are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, allowing us to effectively remove a wide range of stains. However, we do acknowledge that water-soluble stains, such as those caused by wine or coffee, may be more challenging to remove.
The Journey of a Garment
When you bring your garments to us, a friendly staff member will catalog your items and print an invoice with all your items. Each invoice has a unique number, and matching tags are printed with those same numbers. Your garments are then inspected one by one to identify any stains or special attention required. Stains are treated by hand, delicate items are placed in knit mesh bags, and the load is weighed to ensure the dry cleaning machine is not overcrowded. Once cleaned, garments are re-inspected to ensure stains were properly removed, and any issues are addressed prior to final assembly. After the final inspection, garments are sorted by tag numbers and invoice numbers, then bagged and prepared for pickup.
The Journey of a Men's Shirt
Men's shirts require a specialized process to ensure optimal cleaning and preservation. When you bring your shirts to us, a staff member will catalog your shirts and print an invoice with all your items. Each invoice has a unique number, and matching tags are printed with those same numbers. Shirts are tagged and inspected one by one to identify any stains or special attention required. Shirts are then placed in large holding bags according to the "Ready By" date. Any shirts that require more care or are damaged are pulled aside and not cleaned.
